It’s sharing cheap takeout in a dimly lit kitchen, falling asleep during an exhausting train ride, or the simple familiarity of knowing how the other takes their tea. When a character realizes they no longer want to return to a solitary silence because everyday life feels warmer with someone else around, the heart of the story is won.
