Whenever I read this, I immediately think of those beautifully complex characters who spend their whole lives hiding behind a wall, waiting for that one specific person to finally take the time to "read" them.

It perfectly describes Yohan from Sign, who was isolated by a literal language barrier until Soohwa put in the effort to truly understand him. Or Jiwon from BJ Alex, who hid his messy, vulnerable self behind a perfect mask until Dong-gyun accepted him for who he really was.
