Synopsis
Jae-shin is the arrogant, hedonistic son of King Yeom-ra, the ruler of the Underworld. He lives a life of pure luxury and looks down on mortals. However, after meddling too deeply with human fate and breaking the laws of the underworld, his furious father hands down an unusual curse: by day, Jae-shin is stripped of his powers and trapped in the body of a harmless, fluffy puppy, but by night, he is allowed to regain his human form. The only way to break this curse permanently is to win the genuine love of a human. His path soon crosses with Prince Lee Nok, a gentle, deeply lonely mortal prince who has been tormented by terrifying evil spirits his entire life. Intrigued by the prince's spiritual energy and desperate to break his curse, Jae-shin strikes a deal: he will use his underworld powers at night to act as Nok’s protective talisman against malicious ghosts. But as the cold-hearted prince of hell spends his days as Nok's loyal pet and his nights as his supernatural protector, he begins falling for the very mortal he intended to use.
Why Should We Pick This Up?
- The Dual Personality Dynamic: The comedy and angst of the story are unmatched because of Jae-shin's curse. By day, you get adorable, fluffy interactions as Prince Nok pampers him like a helpless puppy. By night, the tone shifts into an intense, protective, high-heat romance.
