Synopsis
Childhood tragedy turned Lee Juhyeok into an angry, omega-hating alpha. He has enemies, his partners can't pleasure him, and he can't remember the one dearest to him. However, his right-hand man, Kwon Yihyeon, knows who he once was and chooses to stay by his side. But after an incident results in the two eloping, Juhyeok's urge to have Yihyeon all for himself begins to grow. His demands are getting worse, and it's only a matter of time before there's nothing left of Yihyeon… not even a scent. (Source - manga updates)
Why Should We Pick This Up?
What is interesting about this omegaverse:
- - The identity and amnesia trope: The main core of the drama rests on the agonizing dramatic irony. The reader watches Juhyeok desperately yearn for a ghost, completely oblivious to the fact that the person he is looking for stands right beside him in a suit every single day.
- - A twisted omegaverse spin: It cleverly plays with standard Omegaverse biology. By stripping a dominant Omega of his scent, the story strips away the typical biological "instincts" that normally force characters together, making their connection entirely psychological and driven by sheer trauma and history
- High angst and possessiveness: This series features a classic "regretful/chasing Alpha" arc.
And it helps that the art is amazing (I know, I am a sucker for good art!!)
