The search of alosha - yall NEED to hear me out
im going to get burned i SWEARRRR//////////// please tell me if i get anything wrong, ive read the last 2 chapter of the search of alosha this night and the rest last month T-T so i only remember the important things and as i read the reviews of the novel it got to my mind that kay himself is problematic even though he IS a victim but not entirely.
The MC himself is problematic Aswell, the whole thing may be a red/black flag novel where he was forced to have sex, a child and marriage AND become empress but y’all need to open your eyes. kay may be straight (being a womanizer) but he also had feelings for zigril (the ML), he was totally dense, clueless and passive regarding his own situations and zigrils intentions. he tries to escape the royal court and even kill zigril as his revenge. most of the viewers view kay as a sympathetic, tragic victim of circumstance just trying to endure an abusive power play but remember that kay LOVED zigril at the same time, i mean LOVED not LOVES, LOVED as he explicitly admits, "It's not that I hate him. I think I like him a little bit, but in the end. It's probably because I don't love you". kay is a womanizer that fell for zigril even though he knows the whole relationship runs off rape and abuse (physically and emotionally) and even staying with zigril mostly because zigril acts as a powerful protector in a hostile world where kay has little choice. i can accept the fact that kay didnt have much of a choice when he got raped but still he IS problematic aswell and im not saying i hate him but i do hate the people who view him directly as a victim and not noticing the importance of how kays dynamic even works.
