An orphan boy is offered to a demon king as a sacrifice called a “bride,” fully prepared to be devoured. Instead, he discovers that the demon king is breathtakingly beautiful and unexpectedly gentle. Determined to become the perfect bride, he spends years devoted to the role. But after hearing a friend’s shocking description of kissing, he realizes he has never even shared one with the demon king. Frustrated, he finally confronts him and boldly demands to know why they have never kissed.
