At our high school graduation, the rival who had tangled with me for years suddenly confessed that he liked me. It was completely different from the victory I imagined, but still, I thought I had won. I walked away believing the score between us was finally settled.

That is, until years later, when he reappeared with a small child clinging to his hand.

A son.

Disgust and irritation flare up all at once.
A shameless fool… If his heart was going to waver that easily, why did he confess in the first place?

But fine. It doesn’t matter anymore. The past, his choices, the kid none of it changes what I already know.

If I wanted to drag him back into my bed, it would be the easiest thing in the world.

In this bitter, twisted reunion, the line between victory and desire grows dangerously thin.
